The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has announced that it will hold an oil and gas lease sale for the Gulf of Mexico on Nov. 17, in compliance with an order from a U.S. District Court. The Biden Harris Administration is continuing its comprehensive review of the deficiencies associated with its offshore and onshore oil and gas leasing programs.

Subsea 7  has confirmed the award of a major1 contract by Turkish Petroleum for the Sakarya field development offshore Turkey in the Black Sea. The award was announced on a redacted basis on September 29, 2021 and the contract was recorded in the backlog of Subsea and Conventional in the third quarter.

(OSI), an integrated marine services contractor providing turnkey projects, marine services technology development and expert consultant services to government, commercial telecom, offshore energy and ocean observing markets globally, today announced the award and kick-off of a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study for a submarine communications cable between an offshore oil and gas field development and the customer’s onshore operation.
