Mounting concerns over climate change have led governments and oil companies to lay the groundwork for a fundamentally different energy market focused on green energy. Earlier this year, H.E. Muhammadu Buhari, President of Nigeria announced, “The Decade of Gas”, an initiative designed to ensure Africa’s biggest oil producer can take advantage of the global energy transition. But what does this transition mean for the African continent and other economies reliant on oil and gas exports?

Prospects for frontier Oil & Gas in Africa

With Namibia, Senegal as well as Côte d'Ivoire having emerged as potential active investment locations, we have seen a new breed of oil companies take to the field. But can these developments be commercialized? How are independent companies raising the funding? Can they succeed given competition from established plays that have been on oil company radars?

Targeted audience: African Energy Week participants will receive a copy of this special report, which will include government decision-makers and regulatory bodies, international investors and Oil & Gas operators.

Beyond African Energy Week: In addition to being distributed to all participants of African Energy Week, this report will be circulated in African Business magazine which has a monthly readership of over 250,000.
