Asso.subsea, a specialized worldwide installation contractor in the submarine cable industry, announces the successful completion of the Inter-array cable installation and protection operations for the Fécamp Offshore Wind Project. With a capacity of 500MW, the Fécamp site will generate sufficient electricity to fulfil the demands of 770,000 households in Seine-Maritime area.

Gazelle Wind Power (Gazelle), the developer of a next-generation floating offshore wind platform, and Tugdock, developers of the world’s first road-transportable floating dry dock known as the Tugdock Submersible Platform, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to co-develop a modular offshore wind assembly system, that is expected to dramatically drive down costs and increase production of floating offshore wind farms.

James Fisher and Sons plc (James Fisher) confirms it has secured a multi-million-pound contract at Triton Knoll offshore transmission (OFTO) project located in Lincolnshire, with the offshore platform 20 miles off the coast in the North Sea. James Fisher Renewables will provide complete end-to-end operations and maintenance (O&M) services to support informed decision-making for the OFTO, owned by funds managed by Equitix and TEPCO Power Grid UK.

Aker Solutions has signed a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract with the Marine Energy Test Centre (METCentre) in Norway to pilot new subsea power system technology which has the potential to significantly reduce the costs and complexity of offshore wind farms.

In line with its renewables business model, TotalEnergies has signed an agreement with Thailand’s national oil and gas company PTTEP for the sale of a 25.5% equity stake in the Seagreen offshore wind farm for a consideration of £522 million ($689 million). Following this farm down, TotalEnergies retains 25.5% of Seagreen, alongside PTTEP (25.5%) and SSE Renewables (49%).
