The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has announced the launch of the Tanker Safety Guide (Liquefied Gas), fourth edition. This comprehensive guide is the definitive industry best practice guidance for gas carrier operators, and a carriage requirement under the national regulations of many flag States.

The US Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD) announces full enrollment for its Maritime Security Program (MSP) and Tanker Security Program (TSP). Both programs provide the Department of Defense (DoD) with access to a fleet of US-flagged sustainment sealift vessels and product tankers for use during times of armed conflict or national emergency.

Swiss marine power company WinGD will deliver ammonia-fueled X-DF-A engines for a series of two 46,000m3 LPG/ammonia carriers to be built for EXMAR LPG BV, a joint venture of EXMAR and Seapeak, at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard. The two 52-bore X52DF-A engines will be delivered in Q2 2025 and will be among the first of WinGD’s ammonia-fueled engines to enter service.
