The efficiency of a davit is determined by the sum of its moving parts and a failure of any one of these components can have fatal consequences - so eliminating such pain points early in the design process is key to a successful delivery.

Kongsberg Maritime announces the launch of the next generation of its advanced HUGIN Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV). Named HUGIN Endurance, the new AUV boosts operational duration to approximately 15 days, enabling extended survey and inspection missions far from shore.

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has secured an order from SIA Solutions LLC to deliver 36 traction winch systems, 72 storage reel brakes and electrical control systems to the specialized concrete mat sinking unit, ARMOR 1, currently under construction at Thoma-Sea Marine Constructors LLC, Houma, Louisiana for the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

Damen Shipyards Group has delivered two pontoons to De Klerk in Werkendam, the Netherlands. The delivery, which took place on January 8th, consisted of a Stan Pontoon 4111 named Oosterschelde and a Stan Pontoon 3011 named Kreekrak.

As the search for oil has moved into deeper waters with more distance to shore-based facilities, Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessels have become essential tools in the process.
