MHWirth AS, a company owned by Akastor ASA, has entered into a contract with Keppel FELS for delivery of the drilling equipment package for a new semisubmersible drilling rig for harsh environment use, with options for further three packages.

Siccar Point Energy (“Siccar Point”) announces that on March 28, 2018, a Sale and Purchase Agreement was signed with Shell UK Limited (“Shell”) under which Shell will acquire a 30% non-operated working interest in UKCS licenses P1028 and P1189 (incorporating the Cambo discovery) and a 22.5% non-operated working interest in P1830 (including the Blackrock prospect), both located 125 km north-west of the Shetland Islands.

Statoil, on behalf of the Johan Sverdrup partnership, signed a letter of intent with Aibel for the construction of the processing platform topside for phase 2 of the project. A letter of intent for field center modifications is also issued to a joint venture of Aker Solutions and Kværner. Total value is estimated at more than NOK 11 billion.

CSA Ocean Sciences Inc. (CSA), a marine environmental consulting firm, and HWCG LLC, a consortium of 18 offshore oil and gas operators, collaborated on the design of a deepwater sampling and monitoring equipment program to support the environmental needs of the offshore industry. The equipment program remains containerized, on standby, and ready to be immediately mobilized in the event a deepwater blowout occurs in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
