Subsea7 announced the award of a contract for a two-phase subsea development. The first phase has been recorded in the backlog of the Subsea and Conventional business unit in the second quarter of 2023. The second phase, expected in 2024, remains subject to sanction by the client.

The U.S. Navy commissioned Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) 23, USS Cooperstown – the nation’s twelfth Freedom-variant LCS – at Pier 88 in New York, New York. This milestone places the ship, built by the Lockheed Martin led team, into active service with the U.S. Navy.

On Monday, May 15, the Njord field in the Norwegian Sea was officially opened by the minister of petroleum and energy, Terje Aasland. The platform and the floating storage and offloading vessel (FSO) have undergone extensive upgrades and are now ready for doubling the field life – and more than doubling production.
