Peritus Awarded Large CO2 Offshore Pipeline Project

Subsea engineering experts Peritus International have been awarded a key part of ARAMIS - a green energy project of global significance.

The Aramis project, a collaboration between TotalEnergies, Shell, Energie Beheer Nederland (EBN) and Gasunie, aims to make a significant contribution to the energy transition by reducing CO₂ emissions for the hard-to-abate industries, and has been designated as a Project of Common Interest (PCI) by the European Commission. The Aramis project is a high-priority initiative for achieving an interconnected energy system infrastructure in the EU.

Peritus with its renowned offshore pipeline and subsea engineering expertise and previous experience with CO2 pipeline systems in the North Sea will be responsible for the design of the 200km trunkline.

Petrofac, a leading provider of services to the global energy industry, will lead a consortium which includes Peritus and Offshore Independents. Petrofac will be responsible for overall project management, system engineering, design of jacket and topsides of the Aramis distribution hub, subsea spurline system and integrated control system. Independents will be responsible for landfall design and bring a wealth of in-country knowledge and technical know-how, especially in relation to congested Rotterdam port area. The FEED will be executed as an integrated team of all three companies based out of Petrofac’s Woking UK office.
