Natural gas production from Indonesia’s legacy fields supplying major liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants is declining through 2030. Gas supply may pick up from 2026 but this depends on the progression of two announced mega natural gas and LNG projects – Gendalo-Gehem and Abadi, says GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

Bluefield Geoservices, a provider of specialist subsea geotechnical services, has appointed Bruce Pudney as Managing Director of Bluefield Geoservices Inc. (Americas). The news comes as the company rolls out its international footprint in the Americas, initially with two new offices in the US, one in Rhode Island to serve the immediate demands of the offshore renewable energy market, and one in South Florida to support ongoing operations in the Gulf of Mexico energy markets, as well as existing projects in Central and South America.

Quality Liquefied Natural Gas Transport (“Q-LNG”) has received United States Coast Guard design basis acceptance and regulatory approvals to move forward with construction on two variants of its current design. The designs, each for a 5,400m3 and 8,000m3Articulated Tug and Barge (“ATB”), are both variants of the 4,000m3 ATB design currently under construction at VT Halter in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

A comprehensive thruster solution from the technology group Wärtsilä will enable Netherlands based Boskalis to convert an existing hull to create the crane vessel Bokalift 2. In addition to addressing the technical challenges imposed by the project, Wärtsilä has also committed to meeting a demanding delivery schedule for the equipment. The order with Wärtsilä was placed in December 2019.

Enpro Subsea has been acquired by Hunting PLC. In a statement issued earlier, Hunting, the international energy services group, confirmed acquisition of one hundred percent of the issued share capital of Enpro Subsea and its subsidiaries in Norway, US and Ghana.
