TWMA Secures Multi-Million Pound Contract with Apache North Sea

TWMA, a provider of specialized drilling waste management services, has secured a three-year contract worth £5 million with Apache North Sea, Limited for the provision of drill cuttings containment and handling services on the operator’s Beryl assets.

TWMA ApacheTWMA has supported Apache on the project since 2013 and this contract award is the latest in a round of contract successes for the company.

The project commenced in June 2018 and requires drilling waste handling equipment that can be easily transported between the Beryl platforms and support vessels as and when dictated by drilling operations. Limited space on deck and lifting capacity for skip and ship confirmed bulk transfer as the safest and most effective way to transfer drill cuttings onshore.

Drill cuttings will be processed at TWMA’s onshore processing facility in Peterhead, UK, using its exclusive TCC Rotomill® technology which separates drill cuttings into its three constituent parts of oil, water and solids for recycling and reuse.

Gareth Innes, Chief Commercial Officer at TWMA said: “As the world’s drilling waste specialist, TWMA is committed to reducing environmental impact by delivering solutions which prioritise safety, cost optimisation and operational efficiency. With the ability to reengineer our technologies to meet specific requirements, TWMA continues to add value to our clients’ operations.

“We are delighted to have been selected once again by Apache to continue supporting its drilling operations. This outcome is testament to our ability to deliver the safest and most efficient drilling waste solutions and we look forward to building on our strong relationship into the future.”
