Power The Future Responds to Biden’s Cowardice on Oil Reserve with Web Video: “Clueless & Indifferent”

Washington, D.C. Power The Future, a non-profit organization that advocates for America’s energy industry and its workers, responded to reports that President Joe Biden will be releasing 50 million barrels of oil from the nation’s strategic oil reserve by releasing a scathing new web video, entitled: “Clueless and Indifferent.”

“President Biden’s announcement is pure cowardice resulting from a lack of vision and his failed leadership,” said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director of Power The Future. “The current energy emergency is a self-inflicted wound that will only be fixed when we’re allowed to increase our domestic supply and get back on the road to energy independence. Make no mistake, Russia, China and OPEC are all laughing as the Biden Administration stumbles in the disaster of their own creation. Today’s news is the equivalent of spending all your savings at the casino, tapping the retirement account for back-up and then seeking praise for fiscal discipline.”

The web video montage splices together cringe-worthy explanations of the Biden Administration trying to shift responsibility for the policies that have led to today’s crisis, including President Biden admitting he has no plan to lower gas prices and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm laughing in the face of an interviewer seeking her plan on increasing oil production. The spot concludes with Biden nodding off during a United Nations COP26 Climate Summit in Glasgow.

Since taking office in January, Biden’s anti-energy agenda includes:

  • Making the so-called “Build Back Better” legislation, which includes $555 billion dollars of giveaways to green groups, the cornerstone of his legislative agenda
  • Cancelling the Keystone XL Pipeline
  • Banning oil and gas production on federal land
  • Waiving sanctions on the Nordstream 2 gas pipeline between Russia and Germany.
