Oil & Gas News

The oil and gas industry has relied on traditional computers to tackle their mathematical challenges for decades. Despite the significant improvements in the speed and precision of classical supercomputers, they can sometimes fall short when calculations involve multiple variables. This limitation could be overcome with quantum computers, which, in theory, can perform some of the most complex computations, says GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

Aberdeen-based process safety firm, Salus Technical, has successfully launched a working prototype of its artificial intelligence (AI) tool, HAZOP AI, which is designed for Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP).

C-Kore Systems has successfully completed a decommissioning campaign offshore Australia, using C-Kore Sensor Monitor units to interrogate the wellhead pressure and temperature sensors on the subsea oilfield. With their automated test routine, the C-Kore Sensor Monitor units quickly and repeatedly tested and data-logged the information allowing the Operator to complete their offshore campaign swiftly and safely.

Wellesley Petroleum AS (“Wellesley”) notes the NPD announcement of the drilling results of exploration well 35/10-10 S and appraisal sidetrack well 35/10-10 A, operated by Wellesley.
