Fuelre4m Appoints New General Manager of Maritime and Opens New UK Office

Fuel performance technology company, Fuelre4m, has appointed Paul Bayliss as General Manager of Maritime and opened a new UK office in Manchester to support its expanding global operations.

The move underlines the company’s commitment to driving fuel efficiency and decarbonization across the maritime sector, whilst strengthening its presence in one of the world’s leading shipping and innovation hubs.

The company is also considering further investment in a UK-based manufacturing facility, bringing production of its innovative fuel-performance technology to the UK.

Mr. Bayliss will lead Fuelre4m’s global maritime business, driving strategy, partnerships, and technical delivery across the sector as the company supports shipowners and operators in meeting IMO and EU decarbonization goals.

Before joining Fuelre4m, Mr. Bayliss held senior positions with Caterpillar Marine and P&O Maritime Logistics, where he led commercial growth initiatives and asset optimization projects across global fleets.

It delivers proven fuel and emissions savings using the fuels and engines that vessels already operate with. It’s a practical, scalable solution that helps the industry make immediate progress toward decarbonization without major disruption.”

Rob Mortimer, CEO and Founder of Fuelre4m, added:

Paul combines deep commercial shipping experience with a pragmatic view of how fleets can save fuel and reduce emissions. I’m really pleased Paul has joined the team, especially as we strengthen our UK base and explore local manufacturing opportunities. Bringing production back to the UK is an exciting step that would anchor our innovation at home and help support the country’s maritime supply chain and clean energy goals.”

Fuelre4m’s technology has demonstrated measurable improvements in fuel efficiency and emissions reduction across a range of vessel types. The company plans to expand its Dubai-based operations in 2026 to support continued growth across the global shipping and port sectors.
