EEEGR’s Southern North Sea Conference & Exhibition SNS2020 Goes Live

The East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) pivoted quickly to transform SNS2020 into an online event. By drawing on established technologies used previously alongside some new applications, EEEGR has created a Southern North Sea Conference and Exhibition that promises the same great opportunities, delivered virtually.

EEEGR has embraced various technologies to make this happen, in particular the SwapCard platform. Whilst still offering the conference, exhibition, 1-to-1 meetings and networking facilities that has made SNS an unmissable date in the energy calendar, the online version allows attendees from further afield to participate, having a wider reach and promoting the region and Group’s members to a larger audience.

At its heart, the event still revolves around two days of live conference, with live Q&A and polling. With the launch of the platform, delegates are now able to build their own personalized event program of sessions and meetings, populating their diary with opportunities throughout the two days ready for the event on the 16th and 17th of September.

A senior Minister will give the opening Keynote, outlining the Government’s determination to put decarbonization at the heart of policy-making in time for the 2050 deadline. This is a bold statement of support from Government, demonstrating the importance the region has in the Transition to 2050 and the energy industry and society as a whole.

EEEGR’s perennially popular “Supply Chain Matchmaking” event has been expanded to allow 1-to-1 meetings with other attendees including developers, key industry personnel and others in the supply chain. This offers delegates unprecedented access to representatives from companies such as ScottishPower Renewables, Vattenfall, Spirit Energy, Dana Petroleum, Bilfinger, Orsted, Equinor, ODE, Virginia Beach, National Grid Gas and many more. This is a great opportunity for businesses to get in front of key industry decision-makers, building valuable business relationships and creating new business prospects.

Delegates will also be able to participate in virtual networking with all attendees, as well as joining conversations on discussion boards and round tables hosted by industry leaders. EEEGR has put together a demonstration of how to use the event platform which can be seen on YouTube: youtu.be/UtCFOkXjGdQ
