ChampionX Corporation through its subsidiary ChampionX Norge AS has been awarded a five-year contract, with two additional two-year extension options, to deliver production specialty chemicals and management services to all Vår Energi assets as the business progresses with its CO2 emissions reduction strategy across its operations.
ChampionX is a global leader in chemistry solutions and highly engineered equipment and technologies that help companies drill for and produce oil and gas safely and efficiently around the world. Vår Energi was an early adopter of its Emulsion Viscosity Reducer (EVR), which is proven to maximize recovery by up to 30% in existing wells.
Throughout the next five-year period, ChampionX will continue to deliver its range of chemical management services to Vår Energi, which encompasses the deployment of its asset integrity, phase separation, flow assurance and enhanced oil recovery chemical technologies.
