Subsea 7 S.A. has announced the signing of a new long-term strategic collaboration agreement between Equinor and Subsea Integration Alliance (which comprises Subsea7 and OneSubsea). The agreement, which was signed on May 2 in Stavanger, Norway, represents an innovative, integrated way of working. It enables early information sharing and other collaborative benefits critical to unlocking subsea projects by making them economically viable. Building on their experience as members of Subsea Integration Alliance, this agreement also further cements Subsea7 and OneSubsea’s positions as trusted contractors to Equinor.

Seatrium Limited (Seatrium) announces that it has secured a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) topsides integration contract from longstanding customer, Offshore Frontier Solutions Pte. Ltd., a MODEC Group company.

Digital twins are digital representations of physical assets, systems, people, or processes. They help detect, prevent, predict, and optimize the physical environment using artificial intelligence (AI), real-time analytics, visualization, and simulation tools. In case of oil and gas, digital twins can support the entire project lifecycle from the project design to commissioning. It can also help in overseeing the asset performance during operations and aid in personnel training, says GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

In the pre-salt Santos Basin, the Tupi field reaches 15 years of operation on May 1, 2024, with 2.6 billion barrels of oil equivalent (boe) of accumulated production and seven units in operation. The first pre-salt field to come on stream in May 2009, Tupi is today the country's largest producing field, with an average volume of 850,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), accounting for 20% of the total produced in Brazil.

SLB has announced the award of a sizeable integrated engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract by OKEA to its OneSubsea™ joint venture and Subsea7. The contract will see the partnership develop the Bestla (formerly known as Brasse) Project in the North Sea, offshore Norway, specifically to accelerate the subsea tieback delivery to aging platforms for profitable and sustainable marginal field development.

Vallourec has secured a fourth major order in the framework of the Long-Term Agreement (LTA) signed in 2021 with ExxonMobil Guyana. Under the contract, Vallourec will deliver line pipe for ExxonMobil Guyana’s deep-water Whiptail project. The Whiptail project is located in the Stabroek Block, a 26,800 km2 strategic basin located off Guyana’s continental shelf, where several important discoveries have been made since 2015.
