Hunt Energy Chairman and CEO Talks Emerging Energy Technology

Hunter Hunt, Chairman and CEO of Hunt Energy, is sitting down for a virtual fireside chat with Cris Eugster, COO of CPS Energy, to discuss the need for investing heavily in emerging technologies in energy at the EPIcenter Global Lecture Series (GLS) on October 21.

EPIcenter propels energy innovation and thought for our global future with a think tank, incubator and accelerator, strategic partnerships, and critical conversations around energy. The GLS is one of EPIcenter’s think tank programs.  The series features energy experts from around the globe as curated by EPIcenter’s Global Advisors. This lecture, “Energy Transition? Think Energy ADDition: The Story of a Legacy Oil and Gas Company and its New Energy Offspring,” is the eighth in the series since the non-profit launched the programming in 2017.

“EPIcenter is pleased to welcome Hunter Hunt to its Global Lecture Series,” said Kimberly Britton, CEO of EPIcenter. “By bringing together Hunt Energy, a legacy oil and gas company, and EPIcenter, an energy innovation hub, to discuss why a traditional oil and gas company is investing in renewables and other energy technologies, we can explore the future of both.”

Hunt Energy is part of a larger, privately owned group of companies based in Dallas managed by the Ray L. Hunt family. Hunt Energy is the holding company for all of the family’s activities related to energy, including oil and gas exploration and production, refining, power infrastructure and renewable energy technologies.

“Since 1934, my family has been deeply involved in many facets of the energy industry both domestically and around the world, and we try to bring a long-term focus on energy development that helps sustain and improve the communities where we do business,” said Hunt.  “We are clearly in the midst of a major transformation of the global energy mix, and we also believe that any open hostility between purists from the hydrocarbon and renewable camps is needlessly diverting focus from the more critical need: to serve humanity’s energy needs.  Hunt Energy is trying to promote a different kind of dialogue; one that puts people and community clearly at the center.”

The GLS virtual event will start much like the live events with networking beginning at 4:30 p.m. The program starts at 5:00 p.m. A Q&A session will be held after the chat. The event is free but registration is required. For registration, please click here
