N-SEA Awarded Contract for Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm Project

N-Sea Group has been awarded a contract by Gwynt y Môr OFTO for a preemptive repair to one of the four export cables to the Gwynt y Môr Wind Farm Project.

Gwynt y Môr is a 576-Megawatt offshore wind farm located off the coast of Wales and is the fifth largest operating offshore windfarm in the world. The farm has 160 wind turbines of 150 meters tip height above mean sea level.

N-Sea is making a clear contribution to a better world, by ensuring the integrity of this export cable and therefore the continuous transportation of renewable energy from this existing offshore wind farm.

“I would like to thank Gwynt y Môr OFTO for this unique opportunity, as it provides the proof and the trust of a renowned and reputable operator in N-Sea’s capabilities, track record and dedicated personnel,” said Rick van Bruggen (Commercial Director Renewable and Utility Services).

It is expected that the parties will start the offshore operations under the contract in May 2022.
