Reach Subsea ASA (“Reach”), a provider of subsea services globally, has signed a landmark contract with Kongsberg Maritime AS, part of the Kongsberg Group, for the construction of the first two in a series of Reach Remote unmanned offshore surface vessels (USVs), which will serve as mobile power banks, data centers and communication modules for underwater ROVs (remotely operated vessels).

Impressed by the outstanding performance of the first two Combi Freighters 3850, German ship owner Blue Fin Shipping has ordered an additional four of these cargo vessels from Damen Shipyards Group, accelerating the fleet expansion to six new vessels since the order for the first one was signed, late 2020.

Global power leader Cummins Inc. is announcing the new classification of its X15 marine engine. This fuel and cost-efficient engine will now meet safety standards for ABS, BV, RINA and DNV class society certifications. This confirms the X15’s adherence to the stringent safety features requested by the societies, ensuring customers’ peace of mind on the water.

Expressing their trust in the development of European aquaculture, Damen Shipyards Group is building four new Landing Utility Vessels of 22 meter length and 8 meter beam (LUV 2208) on stock. Damen is convinced this vessel offers ideal capacities for sea based food production and that buyers will be best served with vessels that can be delivered quickly.
