Bakker Sliedrecht and RH Marine will upgrade Roll Group’s ice class vessel BigRoll Bering with a Dynamic Positioning 2 system (DP2). This allows the 173 meter long module carrier to better maintain its position during loading and unloading. It also increases the deployability of the vessel for more complex transports, where a DP2 system is mandatory.

British advanced maritime technology business, SubSea Craft Ltd and BAR Technologies, an innovative simulation-driven marine engineering consultancy, have signed a new five-year contract to further reinforce their partnership, which will see SubSea Craft move its operations from Havant into the Camber, Portsmouth, Hampshire alongside BAR Technologies.  

The Dogger Bank A and B phases of the Dogger Bank wind farm have awarded UK-based North Star Renewables contracts for delivering three service operation vessels (SOVs) for the operation of these phases. The total value of the contracts including options is estimated at about GBP 270 million.

Kongsberg Maritime’s industry-leading wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) technology has won another important customer, following the signing of a major contract with American shipbuilder Keppel AmFELS, a subsidiary of the world’s leading shipyard group Keppel Offshore & Marine.

The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. has launched the Qamun (pronounced Ka-moon), a 55,000 BBL Shallow Draft Double Hull Petroleum Tank Barge (ATB) built by Greenbrier Marine, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Greenbrier.
