FUELTRAX Enhancing Vessel Performance Insight on CBO Anna Gabriella

CBO, one of Brazil’s leading operators of offshore support vessels, has announced the installation of FUELTRAX Electronic Fuel Monitoring System (EFMS) on its Platform Supply Vessel, ‘CBO Anna Gabriella.’ CBO is an OSV company supporting energy production and operates a fleet of 32 offshore support vessels in the main Brazilian oil basins and the North Sea.

The CBO Anna Gabriella was first delivered to CBO in 2006, where she commenced work for Petrobras. The company has cited embracing new technology and enhancing efforts of showing greater operational efficiency on board as reasons that led them to choose the FUELTRAX EFMS solution.

With the addition of FUELTRAX EFMS, the ‘CBO Anna Gabriella’ will gain a significant digital upgrade, including new visibility into vessel activities and fuel costs from direct measurement of fuel consumption. This is combined with independent vessel tracking and shore-based data delivery service for 100% of fuel data collected.

Through new access to FUELNET – the secure logistics web portal used to analyze FUELTRAX data – CBO will track day-to-day operations from live updates for all fuel activities performed out at sea. Future charterers of CBO Anna Gabriella will also benefit from this new insight and data as a deliverable from CBO.

FUELTRAX will also help CBO increase its fleet utilization and maintain its contractual requirements by delivering new tools and transparency to flourish in this tough economic climate. With unmatched visibility to onboard fuel activities, plus real-time tools to reduce fuel waste and maintain operating expenditure control, FUELTRAX provides live updates of vessel location, vessel activities, and reporting history – completely independent from AIS.

Each FUELTRAX EFMS installation includes all fuel measurement devices, edge-computing systems, unintrusive and independent communications modules, system commissioning, sea trials, and crew training. Delivery of the FUELTRAX equipment is expected in November, with commissioning handled by FUELTRAX factory-certified technicians to follow.

Eduardo Marquez, CBO Technical Manager, says:

“The installation of FUELTRAX system onboard our vessels will allow not only CBO but also our clients an accurate and real-time monitoring of fuel consumption and transfers. This is the first of many systems to be installed in our fleet, and this will bring additional transparency to our operations and work as a valuable tool for supporting fuel consumption reduction, in line with our ESG policy and providing additional value to our clients.”

JP Ambler, Lead Sales Engineer, FUELTRAX, says:

“The FUELTRAX installation onboard the CBO Anna Gabriella vessel demonstrates CBO’s commitment to transparent operations for their clients. Our system will provide the necessary tools to enable powerful optimization decisions. FUELTRAX’s remote monitoring and support capabilities, along with our 100% installation success rate, back up our ‘no-fail’ promise to new FUELTRAX users. We are excited to build this new partnership with CBO and look forward to assisting them in providing maximum value with our product.”
