Equinor and Microsoft have entered into a strategic partnership agreement. As part of the agreement, Equinor will provide industry knowledge and business needs to support Microsoft in developing new solutions for our industry. Microsoft will provide expertise to accelerate Equinor’s IT development and establish new data center regions in Stavanger and in Oslo.

2H Offshore, riser and conductor specialists in subsea services group Acteon, has announced the launch of the Measurement-based Wellhead Fatigue Joint Industry Project (JIP), which will see 2H Offshore work with operators to improve riser, wellhead and conductor fatigue estimates and make drilling operations more reliable and efficient.

Subsea technology company Seatools has completed the delivery of a highly automated fall pipe ROV on behalf of its client Van Oord. The ROV will serve Van Oord’s new subsea rock installation vessel “Bravenes.” The 450-kW rock installation ROV successfully underwent extensive sea trials and is ready to be deployed for SRI campaigns.

Danos announces that Shell Exploration and Production Company, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell, has awarded a contract to Danos to provide coatings for Shell’s deep-water Appomattox platform in the Gulf of Mexico. The coatings project is expected to last approximately six months.
