Leading global provider of mission critical air and gas handling products, technologies and services, Howden, has won the Service and Solutions award at the Energy Industries Council (EIC) National Awards.
The award, sponsored by DeepSea Technologies, was presented at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, London on Thursday 6 October 2022. The award was accepted by Billy Milligan, Solutions Development Lead at Howden and presented by Martyn Conroy from Deepsea Technologies. Nominations for the Service and Solutions award were selected based on clear evidence that the solutions from companies demonstrated adding value to customers in their OPEX and O&M value chain, and the specific broadening of scope of work to provide a one-stop-shop or customer-centric approach.

Interviewed earlier in the year for EIC’s Thrive and Survive report, Massimo shared Howden’s experience of the market conditions within the last 12 months, as well as company performance within the year and highlighted the need for investment, product innovation, and key projects that are supporting Howden’s customers through their energy transition.
Howden also has its own business commitments to lower its carbon footprint and meet energy transition targets through its first ESG report. The Service and Solutions award recognized Howden’s contribution to several projects that are supporting hard to abate sectors to decarbonize, including HYBRIT, the world’s first fossil free steel plant in Sweden; the world’s first e-methanol plant designed to harness energy from the wind, located in Chile; and most recently, Shell’s Red II Green Project after it was tasked by the Dutch government to reduce its carbon footprint.
