Former Shell Executive Joins Danos Board

Danos has selected Greg Guidry to join the company’s board of directors. Guidry retired from his position of Executive Vice President – Unconventionals for Royal Dutch Shell in October 2018 after six years in the role and nearly 37 years with the company.

“Greg has an invaluable understanding of the oil and gas industry, and we are grateful that he has accepted our invitation to join the board,” said Chairman of the Board Hank Danos.

Danos Greg GuidryGuidry brings extensive experience in Unconventional markets, where he drove performance improvement and increased profitability as EVP Unconventionals. In addition, he previously headed Shell’s Upstream businesses across Europe, based in The Netherlands. Guidry’s history at Shell covers multiple facets of the industry including offshore conventional and deepwater, onshore unconventionals and midstream.

“Joining the Danos Board of Directors provides a tremendous opportunity for me to get involved with a respected industry organization. Danos has an exciting future, and I look forward to working with them,” said Guidry.

Guidry serves as a senior adviser to Oaktree Capital and as director of portfolio companies Northstar Midstream and Blackbear Midstream. He is on the board of Sky High for Kids, a nonprofit organization focused on fundraising to eradicate childhood cancer. Additionally, Guidry is on the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Louisiana State University (LSU) Honor’s College and previously served as chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board of the LSU College of Engineering. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and is a registered professional petroleum engineer in Louisiana. He and his wife Alexis have three children and live in Covington, Louisiana.

Guidry’s appointment adds a seventh member to the Danos Board of Directors which includes Hank Danos, Eric Danos, Paul Danos, Mark Danos, Edward “Jed” DiPaolo and John Elstrott. A member of the board since 2000, Elstrott served as chairman of the board of Whole Foods Market, Inc. from 2009-2017 and is currently the emeritus director of the Entrepreneurship Center at Tulane. DiPaolo previously worked for 27 years at Halliburton Company where he was group senior vice president of Global Business Development. He has been on the Danos board since 2008.
