History of the brand

Born from the O&G industries top consultants, First published in 1999 Offshore Source (OS) was launched to fill the need in the market for a newsworthy local O&G publication for the Gulf of Mexico.  OS was created to provide a platform for the backbone of the oil and gas industry—its product and service suppliers.  OS provides a place for suppliers, big or small, to advertise, but at rates any business can afford.

The magazine was (and still is) distributed through free subscription to ensure that it reaches buyers and decision-makers in key companies across the industry. Its single goal is to supply oil and gas executives, managers, product and service buyers and offshore personnel with breaking news while offering advertisers the single most cost effective way to reach their prospective new or existing clients.

2010

Today, Offshore Source has become he most reliable way for O&G decision makers to get the information they need and to source new products and services at a speed that accommodates their busy schedule.  The readership has grown since 1999, but keeps its focus on a local perspective; Offshore Source now reaches all parts of the world via its digital version of the magazine.  This saves the company and its advertisers the huge expense of postage, but ensures that the maximum amount of decision makers see your advertisement. Making advertising in the magazine the most cost effective way to reach top-level decision makers—in the Gulf of Mexico to the most remote locations around the world.

In January of this year OS was redesigned for the industry offering a cleaner look and more stories per page.  Short, factual editorial keeps the pace fast and rarely meanders on a particular topic, the goal is to offer our readers everything they NEED to know in one lunch hour, then offer them everything they’d LIKE to know when they get a chance.  Stories are concise and to the point. This is a fast paced industry, so we give our readers what they need to know…quickly.
